What to expect once you have contacted me.
If you have left a message and contact details on my answering machine or contacted me by e mail, I will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to arrange a convenient time for us to meet for your initial session. There is a £10.00 fee for the initial session, which you can expect to last for one hour.
I will also be able to give you directions and information as to where to park if needed.
What to expect from your initial session.
The initial session is an opportunity for you to learn more about how I work. I will give you some information about counselling to take away with you. This session will focus on what has brought you to seek counselling and explore your expectations of how I may be able to help you. This session is an opportunity for you to decide if you feel comfortable with the way I work as a counsellor. It is important that you feel comfortable so that you are able to benifit as much as possible from the counselling process.
During this initial session I will suggest how I think we could work together and agree with you on the number of counselling sessions you may require. We will also agree the cost of any future sessions. The cost is dependant on your individual situation.
You do not have to decide in the initial session as to whether you would like to work with me. You are welcome to take the time you need to reach your decision.
